I am going to go to one soon, well next April, but I want to know if you would. I cannot decide, so I thought I would see if any one else would. I am 14, female, and very into the Renaissance era. So, would you??

I would, and have. It's a kick, and you really get a much friendlier reception from the staff. Not that they're unfriendly, but, aw, you know.

My family and I go every year (at least once) and always dress. My oldest boy has some "vulcan" ears that he wears with a green elf costume that looks really good. My two older daughters make a new gown each year. My younger son had a chain mail and helmet he wore for several years, but last year he shoot up two feet in six months, so it does not fit any more. Looks like my oldest grandson will wear it this year.

We have collected enough renaissance outfits over the years that we were able to outfit 19 of the 31 actors in a performance of the musical "Once upon a Mattress" early this year. (I played the king, and must oldest boy was one of the knights, Sir Luce.)

My oldest son and his fiancee are planning a Renaissance wedding.

I have gone to several Renaissance Festivals and never dressed up. But I also felt a little like a cad.

Since you are very into the Renainssance era, and seem to want to dress up .. go for it. you will have fun.

enjoy
aiki.

Oh, dressing up is lots of fun! The other characters interact with you a lot more if you're dressed up- you might even get to speak with Good Queen Bess herself, and the noble knights in armor and Scots in kilts (ooo... kilts...) will try to woo thee, fair maiden.

If you are really into it , it might be fun to dress up. But if you are not sure about it , just take the outfit and if after you get there and see everyone dressed up , you can just go put on your outfit .

Definitely, it'd be a blast, I haven't dressed up for a festival before but it'd be awesome to do that!
