Creative players are easily the best and priced well. Creative Labs make SoundBlaster, the best PC soundcards, and make easy to use, option packed MP3 players.

IPods are the worst and priced high. Advertisement hype and restrctions suck.

Anything else should be just fine. Good players, some with silly restrictions, variety of prices. IRiver and Sandisk are good options.

I have bought 3 different mp3 players. I have compared all the features and I believe that CREATIVE LABS has the most bang for the buck. I gave $200 for my 20 gig mp3 player (Thats retail, not Ebay). Other brands that I looked at in this price range had only about 512 mb of memory. Stay away from ipods, you are paying for the name. If you don't know the difference between 512 mb and 20 gig, (20 gig will hold around 10,000 songs. 512 mb will hold around 40 songs). Look for players that also play wma format. These are smaller files than mp3 files, so you player will hold more. I think that all Creative Labs models do both formats.

We have a Rio MP3 player and it works great. I would get the ability to download more songs than this player has but otherwise, it works great. We found it on EBay for low price and it included a Lexmark printer in the deal. I would recommend Rio on EBay. Good Luck!

go with iriver products. i think there more durable and easier to figure out than the ipods. you get what you pay for so spending a little extra will get you a better product with more storage. i can go online and upgrade my iriver, i dont know about the ipods. there are cheaper mp3 players out there but, like i said before, you get what you pay for. good luck

If you go to ebay and type in Mp3 players and arrange by lowest price, ...you should get some good results...they have ipod nano replicas, you can get one for pennies.

Here is one for $9.99, it ends in an hour and a half

Try Samsung or RCA.... both have multiple options for less than $100, that hold 100+ songs and have pretty good sound quality.
