You do not wanna go there. I work with a youth activism team here in Canada and I've spoken with many people who wish they didn't get their tattoo
People tastes change. Think about it, do you really think You'll still love that tatoo, say, 30 years later? If youw ant kids, do you think they'll be embarressed when their mom show's off her tattoo?
That's just the start. pick the wrong place to get a tattoo and bam, instant infection.
Personalities change. Stick with henna tattoos or nothing or at all

Don't get a tattoo to get a tattoo...do it because you love the artwork you want and because it has meaning to you.
Don't get a tattoo unless it's something you've wanted for at least a few years, and it's got a positive connotation that you can't imagine regretting at any age.
Don't get a tattoo from someone who's work you can't see, from someone you have no recommendations for.
Don't go through with a tattoo from someone who won't respect your wishes, or redraw the art if you're not happy with it. Be assertive, don't be afraid to just leave without a tattoo if you have any misgivings.
Yes, some people regret having gotten tattoos, but I'd bet there are more who love the one's they've gotten.

Yes, but wait until it feels right to do it. Be very thoughtful as to what you want. It should probably represent basic values and/or gestures that are meaningful to you.
Stay away from flash and work with the tattooist to create a customized design. And, for heaven's sake, chose a reputable, professional tattooist.
Confession: My son is a tattooist in NYC, and I have two myself. If you are concerned about fading, as many here are, your tattoos can easily be touched up. The most moving tattoos, to me, are the 'living memorials' A lot of firemen had tattoos memorializing their buddies after 9/11. Some with people who have lost loved ones.

Your choice, darlin. Remember a tattoo is PERMANENT. It will fade over time, and should you balloon in your older years, your butterfly might look like the b grade horror film monster- THE BLOB. Avoid getting a lovers name tattooed on you or anything you might be embarrassed for someone to see. Getting Mary or john removed is painful and costly.

NO! Please don't. As a person who lives with the regret of an unwanted tattoo and who knows many people who hate their tattoos, I try to stop anybody from getting tattoos. Imagine you had to wear the same shirt for the rest of your life and no matter what you did you could not change your shirt. At first you might have liked that shirt and enjoyed wearing it everyday but little by little you wish you didn't have to wear it anymore but you HAD to and no matter what you did you knew that it was almost impossible to get rid of that shirt. Well that's how a tattoo feels like. Believe me. Smooth soft skin is beautiful don't mess it up with a tattoo.

I don't think much of tatto's, but both my daughter's have two each. Just don't put one mans/girls name on it, or someday you'll have to have it "removed/covered up" if you meet someone else

YES wait untill your older. Usually, people get one while they're in their teens, and HATE it later. Your opinions and interests can change in a short time like that.

I think not - I find them very unattractive on females. People will always judge you later on in life, so dear don't spoil your pretty little body with ink. Leave that to the rough tough men!
