I don't know why but when I was thinking to myself about how ugly my chipped fingernail polish was, that question crossed my mind. And then I realized that if for some crazy reason I died with my nails looking like that, I would NOT want to be buried with them like that. I have no idea why, but the thought of that bugs me. Any undertakers know?

Haha, this wasn't meant to be vain. Yes I would be dead so I wouldn't care. However, since I'm living and curious I wanted to know. I think it'd be weird to go to a wake and see some dead girl with her hands crossed on her chest or whatever with chipped nail polish.

They would ask your family which they want done. I had a friend who was beauticians who fixed hair, nails, etc. for the funeral parlor next to her shop. (She made more money working on the dead then the living - go figure). She would always ask the family questions like that and do as they wish.

Omg! your getting overboard with ur damn chipped painted nails. Are you dead serious that, that's the last thing your going to think when your dead.... I'm not an undertaker but if I am, I don't even care if you have that problem.
Wrapping this thing up! Live your life to the fullest by not being an anal or o.c.
Life is short, take advantage of it.

the thought of decaying under the ground should bother you more than your nail polish.. but yes, they have a make up artist to fix blemishes and the nails too, they will even do you hair the way your family requests for it to be done.

They do cosmetic touch-ups. So they would try to match your nail polish or put on a different color. Your family would advise them
Now stop thinking about this stuff & go get a manicure.

they would take off the polish and either repaint your nails as the family requested or leave them unpolished.
don't feel weird- i've thought about how it would be if i died on a bad hair day. (really hope that doesn't happen!)

They will clean up your body and wash it. If your family request your nails to be painted then they will do so otherwise they will remove the polish.

they paint over it, actually I think they paint all ladies nails,so the nails look natural. I guess they may look blue or something. when my mom died, one of the 1st things i noticed when we went to view the body was that her eyebrows needed to be plucked. They would have done that too, but my aunt (her sister) plucked her brows & did her makeup & hair. Creepy- huh?
