I would like to start my own scholarship fund and I keep searching the net and I only get .edu websites asking for money. If anyone out there knows anything. Please share it. I appreciate it.

correct, above is the easiest and safest way. Alternately, you can set up a fund, collecting interest, and advertise the scholarship yourself, but then you'll also have to screen all the applicants, etc. Best to set it up with an accredited school, they know what to do and how to do it well.
