It was actually on my sons birthday, but i got the best gift ever, a new heart valve, hence life!!
It was our family joke for a while that it was my sons birthday, but I got the big gift that year.
But I made it up to him and took him to Universal 9 weeks after surgery Doctor said I had to wait until my breast bone healed completly!;-)

The light pink Motorola RAZR I received yesterday.
Shallow? Yes, but let me explain.
I'd been working nonstop for the whole summer, saving up all of my paychecks. I made tons of money [around $5,000], and I was all set to buy a used car for my aunt and uncle [how generous of me! :D] and a new phone and clothes for the new school year. I bought the car [a bargain at $2,000] and some clothes when my wallet was stolen during a trip to New York City with my parents. I mourned the loss of my $3,000, but I also mourned the loss of all of my hardwork. Then, to my surprise, my aunt and uncle arrived at my house yesterday with a small box. I opened it and, inside, was the RAZR, just the phone I'd wanted! It meant so much because they really cannot afford much, but they felt that they owed it to me. I was touched.
Still a little shallow? Maybe.

There has been a few material gifts that I have gotten. The one that meant the most to me came from a very special person. It was a full length fur coat (wolf & fox), with a hood, and a trip to France...which I loved since I am originally from France. I hope that was what you were looking for. Au Revoir!

I got a pink bike on my 6th birthday. I think I got more mileage (haha) and enjoyment out of that present than any other gift I ever recieved.

Sad to say it, but Satelite TV. As a sports fan in the UK its just a must have and my wife bought me it so we could watch the Ashes tour from Australia (must have been about 1994?). Watching live cricket when in England it was all cold and rainy was such a treat!
Sad I know - but you did ask! ;-)
