Many people say the Koran talks about peace, but I found this passage and I would like to know what people think about it and the Islamic movement today:

Surah 47:4
Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain.

Can you tell me why this stuff isn't being shown so people know why muslims are the way they are as a whole.

It is called political correctness. We dare not offend our Muslim neighbors. Even if it is with the truth. Muslims truly believe that if you do not believe as they do you are an infidel and you must either convert or die. You will notice they are told to smite the necks. For those who don't understand that means to cut off someones head with a sword. But only if you are not Muslim. So much for this religion of peace.

politics is the answer(if you want more then please tell the Dem's to let the world know (oh ya most of the Dem's supporter's are trying to support socialism through any means possible)that they need to stick together for democracy not follow what looks right but do what is right(more people voted for bush then any other Prez because he reached out to the MAJORITY of the AMERICAN people then any prez has ever done and democrats are not putting up ant fight except we hate bush and what dose that have to do with politics "nothing" what type of political plan do they have for ending the war ? backing out to let the people that have a twisted religious fanaticism take over Iraq is there plan! and that's not my plan but every time we here of Iraq in a bad way are society thinks bad because of the news Media and there biased views and if you look at the news the stories on 3 stations covering the same storie are all different but only the bad makes the top of the news list all the time and if you agree then give me a thumbs up so I can see un biasedly who agrees and who doesn't

Islam is a threat to many as other beliefs are a threat to others. What is written in the Koran is not the real problem just as what is written in the bibles of Christians is not the problem with many of them. The leaders of these movements are the ones that most believers follow. leaders instill hate and fear to get people to do what they want done. Islam is on the path of extreme bias and bigotry.

Extremism can be a threat in any religion and certainly it is a threat in Islam.

Often our politicians and citizens are too 'politically correct' and hide their heads in the sand in order to appear to be accepting of everyone.

And often people cannot believe that others would do what they would not themselves do.

It is time to wake up and understand our differences and pay attention if these differences threaten our way of life.
