In 2001 the law changed that required Congress to aporve wars to allow the President to strike any nation he feels like in the name of war on terror - the law has also changed to allow Bush (for example) to a nuclear stike on a country that is not a nuclear power after a 20 min advisory meeting.

To me this all adds up to the US striking Iran in the name of a war on terror.

The problem is Iran borders Russia and the world that doesn't really believe the 9/11 story likely won't believe the No choice they will try to sell for Iran's being nuked.

So my question is will the US do a pre-emtive stike using bunker busting mini nukes it says is "safe for civilian populations" and if so what reaction will this bring from Russia and China or Venezuala or North Korea all of whom either have or are developing nukes.

I truly believe that prior to his term being over, Bush and his administration, with the help (once again) of the Israeli Mossad will conduct yet another "terrorist attack" on the American people in order to justify it's attack on Iran. It's hard to believe, but there are MANY ignorant people that will fall for it again and support another unjustified war. I do not think any of the countries you mentioned will interfere. They will definitely condemn the war that is going to happen against Iran, but not react militarily.

I pray that this won't happen again. Let's see what happens after the Nov. elections but I don't think that they will matter anyway. I do agree that our country will suffer greatly if this should happen. I just think that we will see combat on our soil but not conventional. We need to be prepared for anything, no matter which party comes to power in Nov. or in '08. There is no winning anything here for ANYONE. The WORLD will pay for years to come, no matter what. The question is how much and for how long? The VietNam war was based on lies and what did it get us?That was republican crap too. Now they've done it again. Before you have your coniption fits, go back and get a whole view of American history. Eisenhour sent the first "advisors" there. The difference here is that he wasn't talking to God and didn't have to worry about madmen with nukes. Please pray in whatever way you do.

US and Israel have no legal base to attack Iran(of course this didn't stop Bush from attacking Iraq)...Attacking Iran would be the most stupid idea ever,so ,yes,Bush might do it...Israel,after the conflict with Hezbollah,I don't think they will dare to attack Iran...Seeing how "good" they did with Hezbollah,I can only imagine what will happen if they would attack Iran...
Iran does not represent a threat right now,'cos we don't know for sure if they are building nuclear weapons...As for Russia ,China and Venezuela ,they don't want to see sanctions against Iran, let's not talk about an attack...I really don't think they are going to sit back and watch...

there is not any such element as a conflict "in basic terms" between "Iran and Israel." Iran threatens lots of the middle East. Iran threatens all Sunni Moslems and organizes and funds killing Sunnis for being Sunnis. Iran threatens all of her gulf associates and claims to "very own" them, as heirs to the Persian empire. Heck, curiously that this week, they only tried to explode a Saudi diplomat mutually as he became traveling the u . s . a .. So, somewhat lots the total middle east aside from Syria as Hezbollah needs a weaker Iran and can be rooting for Iran to lose ability. some might purely pray for it. some might little doubt help in some way. I even have little doubt that immediately, Saudi princes are mulling over at the back of the curtain issues that would desire to "take place" to the Iranian al kuds guards and absolutely everyone else they experience is to blame.

I think it will happen this way. Bush and his fellow neo-ons will threaten and give Iran ultimatums to show the world they are giving them a chance to avoid military action. While this is gong on they will be getting ready for the ultimate surgical strike. This,of course will turn everyone against us and perhaps start a war on our soil from perhaps people we now consider allies.

In all likelihood, Israel might. It is in the total interest of Israel to knock out Iran because Israel knows that when Iran has the nuclear bomb, they WILL Immediately bomb Israel with a hail of nuclear bombs.
