Well, technically, brown is a neutral (Stacy's and Clinton's quote from What not to wear) so you can mix and match it with other colours that seem to be more trendy. In this case, you shouldn't worry about the colour as much as are those clothes cut well and their style and shape fit you well too.

Nah, I just bought a cute pair of Mudd Jeans today with a really unique looking brown sash belt! And a pair of L.E.I.'s with an even cuter orange sash belt! Plus I have a $200.Lucky Brand Leather Jacket (brown) perfect condition, I bought that three years ago and I am wearing it cause it looks good! Looking good never goes outta style! P.S. Skinny jeans should not be making a comeback! That style is soo out! No one looks good in skinny jeans and skinny jeans make almost everyone who wears them look like they have a big bubble butt!

Colors go through popularity periods. In my closet, I never let a fad define my own personal style. Just wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in, not what others think is cool.
If they don't like it, it's their problem. They're prob gonna sell everything in their wardrobe in a matter of weeks

Only if they're white garments actually covered with dirt...then, I might stop wearing them. Or maybe that's in style this year...have no idea?

huh? last time i checked, colors dont go out of style (except for neon) where what ever color copmlements your skin the most. for example, brown & dark green & dark blue look really good on me & complement my skin color, but orange & lite green look so bad on me. so if brown looks good on u, wear it!
