Well, I think if all French fans are happier about the fact that Italy drew than about the fact they team won, they are really in a desperate condition. Yes we drew and? The players were tired and a little bit relaxed really, cause they were playing against a team so inferior to them, and relaxed by the fact they had the WC trophy remember? They are still the World Champions and nothing can change it. France could beat all the teams of the World 3-0, 4-0, 100-0. This won't bring the trophy they lost back to them or back to you. You'll never feel the emotion of your team being the 2006 World Cup Champion, at least these 4 years, or you feel it when you see Italy draw?! And Wow! you scored 3 goals yesterday (well 2 cause one was an own goal, I heard) Why didn't you score those goals in the WC final with Zidane on the pitch and everything? And remember you shouldn't talk before time, the match is on Wednesday. See you then!

I have no reason to side with anyone over anyone else. I love and respect Zidane and like both teams, so I say this as a neutral. Earlier today Miz Boons and other Italian supporters offered the hand of sportsmanship with congratulatory responses to Frances win. That should have been enough for everyone to let bygones be bygones. That doesn't seem to be the case,Perhaps they feel it was ignored. If so they may simply feel it more appropriate not to answer.

And congratulations to France for the win..it was great. I hope they have a wonderful Euro campaign.

nick I read an article that said that the racism and name calling is non-existant in the US. If a player was to utter any words of racism at all, than that player would be branded as a racist for the rest of his life. And the American teams made mostly of Americans keep the conversations kind of on a mild side. Playing internationally is totally different. Comparing within United States doesn't make any sense.

Zidane is king... point final.

Let me find the article, it was in the NY Times. I couldn't find the tangible piece.
In short, it said that the name calling was restricted between the Latinos in baseball, in hockey the French Canadians were belittled by English players and the black players interviewed said that if a player uttered a racial slur he would be labeled for life. Since there is no international playing going on, it is rather mild on the set. What do you consider insults is the question?
For what I know Zidane will never tell, I listened to all of his interviews over and over and what was said to him is worse then what was revealed. Even Chazal and Denisot could not get anything out of him and I can tell he was holding something in.

the french national team basically sucks. henry was way overrated and zidane is just a *****. They won't win euro 2008 and i garantee that. as for zizou he should just grow up in america during basketball matches you should here what the players say to each other, it would make zidane shoot the entire opposing team. The whole point is to keep your cool. he was just mad that he missed the FREE header in stoppage time and coudn't even score. He relized that if he would have scored he would have easily been on of the top 5 players of all time now he is just a punk.
