its from the point of view of americans, some of it im guessing doesnt even have the whole story, and I have been told that other countries history involving america is a lot different from ours...Im sure there are a lot of dark parts of our history that we dont know about, because it wasnt written in the history books.... im sure this isnt just the case with america all countrys write their history books coming from their point of view...( I wonder if germany has anything about the holocaust in their history books...)---> just a thought...

I like America alot and am very proud of my nation. as far as history goes, well without it all we would still be over in England paying our taxes to a king so I think it's pretty darn good. That's not to say I agree with all the choices that have been made in the name of America but I support the nation as a whole and would never speak against it for whatever the reason.

I think United States history is absolutely fascinating. Unfortunately far too many history teachers in grade school, middle school & high school make studing the subject of history boring. Its a sin! Because really our history as a nation ...state to state is absolutely fascinating!

I think more Americans should learn about it. A great book on U.S. History is Howard Zinn's "People's History of the United States".

I don't think it is taught well in school. I've seen a lot of kids that are ignorant of US history. I also think it should be revamped to tell a more complete and broad picture of how our history really took place.

We did some shitty things that are hard to rationalize. (Screw the Indians and British, kill innocents in factories, killed millions of slaves, etc.) And it's sad that you have to try to think like they did so that it doesn't sound like they weren't such ignorant asses.
