You lost your sound card. You need to reinstall the software or do a system restore.

You need to make sure that your soundcard is configured or if it has an error.
Right click My computer, choose properties, choose hardware tab, Device manager.
Check to see if there is a Red X anywhere under the Sound video, controllers. You will need to fix that error. Usually a drivers issue.

Start, control panel, sound and audio devices, audio tab.
Make sure that your sound card is selected or found under default device.

If those two don't get you fixed.

Try adding the device by using add hardware under control panel. It will help to know what kind of card you are using.

That is hard to answer because there are so many things.. The first thing would be to go to the TASK bar and on the task bar(the row at the bottom of your screen) is a symbol of a bull horn(a sound horn).. click on that and then: a) ensure that the click is NOT in the MUTE.. that is, the little square by the mute wording should be empty.. b) Ensure that the sound arrow (or whatever you have on yours) is pushed UP.. not to the top but up 3/4 of the way.

If that is not the problem.. I would find it impossible to try to explain without actually being there.

The Xbox is your suited wager between those 2 opportunities for gaming. the undertaking with computing device video games is each and each so frequently you get a activity it rather is now not precise ideal with a different photos card. then you definitely've have been given the headache of attempting to discover a patch (which will or should not be out yet for that card to run your activity), and then the patch even with the reality which could in all risk now not fix the photos properly. then you definitely've have been given the undertaking of coming in the time of a activity it is so photos in intensity your gadget won't run it genuine (freezes, crashes, etc). Then the subsequent situation you have is on a similar time as the photos and etc replace into previous-formed and can desire to now not run extra moderen video games. indoors the actual you have gotten spent 1500.00 or extra for a stable computing device it rather is equipped to run modern-day photos in intensity video games. on a similar time as an Xbox (or PS3 which i in my opinion want) at a critically lesser value that only retains on going and going and going...different than of direction it dies for some reason.

Open Device Manager and make sure your soundcard is listed. If not, check inside your computer and make sure your soundcard is connected properly. Also try reinstalling its drivers.
