could not have said it better than big mouth.
Some one we knew, moved to San Diego for college. Before too long he was also living the surfer lifestyle of the nineties (not now) and phrasing in the lifestyle. "Duuude" and all that. Eventually he graduated, but had a hard time getting placed in employment because he had such a difficult time clearing his speech. He was truly embarrassed. Especially when he met his girlfriend's parents for the first time and they laughed because they thought he was joking around. I was there. It was sooo embarrassing. But It made him realize his problem and took action.

Fer shure, man, it's like you know a trip.
My parents actually used a clicker at the dinner table to make me aware of how much I said "you know". It was stupid and mildly humiliating.
