I'm 15 so I wont have to worry about this for a while..but they say you have to go as soon as you turn 21 if you go b4 that means you are sexually active...so what if you're a 21 year old virgin how is the doctor suppose to fit the stuff in..wont he/she take ur virginity with his/her hand?

The doctor will use smaller tools and they do lubricate everything very well before inserting them into you. They try to be careful about what they are doing. Before having the test, let the doctor know that you are nervous and they will help you through the test. Don't tense up! If you do, it will really hurt. The test doesn't not take but maybe a minute or two as long as your are cooperative.

I've done a lot of gyn exams on virgins, even teens. I have never torn anyone's hymen. Just like I do with every patient, I use the smallest speculum possible, put on lubricant, and I'm gentle. You'll be fine.

It's not 21 it's 18, you have to go once you become sexually active or turn 18.

i have been going to a gyn doctor for years and was always nervous until one time the doctors nurse told me to relax and breathe through my mouth. it really does help you to relax
