How do you block a program from the internet?

I want to know how to deny a program access to the internet. Can anyone help me?

Go to Control Panel and click Windows Firewall. Click on the Exceptions tab. Look for the program you want to block in the list, and make sure it does not have a tick next to it. If the program is not there, click the Add Program button and find it.
