Start with good skin care. I used to do make-overs for portraits, etc. Big, big difference between ladies who use good quality skin care & those who do soap, just water, or bad products. Find out what your season is from BeautiControl. Most cosmetic companies can tell you, but they have excellent help for this. Also many companies label products "Warm" or "Cool" anyway. Follow up with the complimentary clothing choices in your season to flatter your face and the total you, and balance the colors you use on your face (for example: don't let lipstick be deep red but no eye makeup or blush or foundation). Find a consultant whose look is attractive before you buy too many products. One who really cares & can teach you how & what to apply .

For plumper lips: brush your lips with a tooth brush and always apply the most gloss in the center of your lips.
For bigger eyes: only apply eyeliner on the top lid, and always curl lashes before/after mascara.
For eye makeup that wont cake: put a little liquid concealer on your lids before applying eyeliner/eyeshadow. It keeps your shadow on all day without caking.
For natural looking eyes: unless youre going for the dramatic look, always smudge your eyeliner upwards to get rid of the harsh line.
Hope this helps!

I use a tinted moisturizer instead of heavy foundation or cakey makeup. It makes my skin look dewy and fresh.
When the odd breakout pops up, I hold an ice cube to my blemishes to calm redness. I then use a product with salicylic acid to help clear up my skin. Make sure to only use it where you need it, or you could potentially dry out your skin.
On the subject of eyeliner, I recommend using a wet/damp angle brush with eyeshadow instead of the traditional pencil or liquid. I find that it makes a clean line with minimal smudging, not to mention that it lets you use any color that you'd like!
To bring out your eye color, I recommend:
-purples and browns for brown eyes
-different shades of greens and subtle purples for green eyes
-blues and browns for blue eyes
-browns and some pinks for hazel eyes
To prevent my eye makeup from smudging, I dust on some loose powder around my eyes before applying makeup.
Hope my tips help! â¥

If you have dark eyes wear colors like purple, blue, gold to make them standout.
apply eyeliner on the top of your eye for a more dramatic look.
some of the brands I use are Mac, Chanel, and Maybelline.
and if you wear mascara Dont plump the wand in and out of the tube: it encourages bacteria growth and dries mascara up. goodluck!

Bare Essentuals is the best around...go to Sephora for a demo. It will not ruin your skin, is easy to apply and looks natural.
