They cannot be trusted to do the right thing. They are run by people and there are many dishonest and immoral people in this world. You wouldn't eliminate all law enforcement and trust people not to steal, rape, and murder. So why would you think that you don't need oversight of business? A few corrupt executives can do far more damage do society than a few petty criminals.

No, we cannot trust any individual conglomerate or corporation with anything. Look at Enron and the countless others (including Martha Stewart) that are in it for gain. A pharmaceutical company could literally kill tens of thousands of people without government regulations and oversight.

I also believe the government needs more oversight on itself.

Government oversight doesn't work. The government is complicit in their operations. Going after them would be like biting the hand that feeds them.
It's like a giant food chain. You buy the pharmaceuticals, the pharmaceuticals buy the politicians.

the unfortunate reality is government can be bought out and is all the time. there is no best interest of all americans. in the history of the world, you will not see a more corrupt government as we have today. from the feds to the localls, its all a money game and they will do anything to keep the bucks rolling in. that makes government oversight a joke. they do not really care about us unless its proffitable.

Paul has preached for years and that's accountability. Even democrat Kerry jumped on board. i could sense secure in case you had layers to observing one yet another, yet they don't even understand the place the bailout money is going and it fairly is in simple terms yet another ripoff. If we don't pay attention we would bypass the way of england, they did the comparable element and the pound is a historic lows. thank you agian for the information, yet doubt it rather is something extra advantageous than political bs. enable somebody that knows and does not recommendations the warmth take care of it and particular. i will think of of somebody to go up the committee and have the components to do it. I have not got any thought as they don't look to be approximately to alter into responsible.

The government does not need to be involved in private industry. That is not it's function. Take a look at the constitution. That is what the government is for and nothing else.
