K-12=13 years.

well the schooling starts from k and goes through 12. that means if the child completes and isn't held back 13 year total.there is a such thing as pre- k not to sure if that is the same as k.but, if not 14.

From JK - OAC = 15 years
From SK - OAC = 14 years
From JK - grade 12 = 14 years
From SK - grade 12 = 13 years

That said, JK and OAC are optional these days.
Also, this is assuming you don't fail any grades.

You spend 13 years in school (K-12) if you're in the U.S.
