I'm not bleeding very badly at all. Just enough to show up on the tp when I wipe. Not even enough to show up in my underwear.

Well, taking a shower is not an option for me. I live in an old house and we're gonna have to completely redo the bathroom to put in a shower. I've been in bed since yesterday evening and just feel gross. It's either a sponge bath or a regular bath. I think a regular bath would take less energy.

Yes and NO.
You can take a bath but try to have the water comfortable but not hot or cold you do not want to raise or lower your body temperature. This will cause increased stress on your body. I would suggest only a 10 minute shower or bath for a couple of days. If you have stopped bleeding for a few days then take a long bath, but try to keep the water a comfortable temperature without being Hot or Cold try to keep your body temperature the same.
(Your light bleeding is probably caused by the baby implanting into the wall of your uterus.)

This is really a question for your doctor. We can tell you our experiences, but we don't know your medical history like a doctor would.
If you're having light bleeding it's probably not advisable to sit and take a bath. I hate to say it but a sponge bath is where it's gonna have to be. Tuesday morning (since Monday is a holiday) call your ob/gyn and ask. If you need to "freshen" up between sponge baths, get some baby wipes and use those. We use them while camping and they work great. No it's not the same clean feeling you get from a shower or bath, but hey, it's better than nothing.

If your doctor says it's okay to take a bath, do NOT make the water hot. You don't have to take luke warm baths either. Try to limit your sitting time to 10 -15 minutes in a nice warm bath, especially in the first trimester. After that, you should be okay to try a little warmer water. Good luck.

All the preg. books says that you should not take hot baths. I don't know what temp is too hot. I do know that you don't want your core body temp to rise. That can cause birth defects. If I were you, I would not soak in the tub. Just to be on the safe side.

When I was pregnant, I only took luke warm showers. I hated it! I love to soak in my big bath tub!!! But I knew I wanted to do what was best for my baby.

Good Luck!!!

Whenever you are pregnant you should never take a hot bath, warm is ok. Now, if you are leaking in anyway you never want to take a bath. I would think bleeding would fall in that category. Chance of infection.

Yes go ahead and have a bath. However, be sure not to do any douching of the birth canal as infection might pass in.

The physician advised her that the ordinary public those with hematomas on their uterus will miscarry the toddler. yet they're giving her ultrasounds each 2 weeks. She became additionally recognizing, and that i think of the physician reported that's what she has going for her, because of the fact a minimum of the blood is draining, and that's not close to the placenta, so i think of that facilitates too. in case you think of a few bruise, the only way for it to bypass away, is to the two enable it bleed out, or in basic terms take a seat and enable it heal. So it sort of feels to me that your physique knows what that's doing. yet in basic terms bear in ideas, in case you lose the toddler, than your physique became attempting to declare there is a few thing incorrect with the toddler...and you will continuously try back. i do no longer think of that a hematoma on the uterus is a few thing that's habitual. i think of it in basic terms occurs right here and there. i understand this females physician advised her the hematoma might desire to be from a pair of fairly some issues. One being placental detachment, one being a might-be twin that died very early, or it would desire to easily be some subject with the toddler. So i might in basic terms recommend which you hear on your physician, take it undemanding...I mean no lifting and stuff (considering'll in basic terms make all of it worse), and in basic terms come to words with the undeniable fact which you have have been given to objective for a sprint one back quickly. i'm no longer attempting to be the bearer of undesirable information, yet it fairly is in basic terms what her physician reported. in basic terms take it undemanding, and don't stress, stress will in basic terms make it worse. additionally in basic terms be sure you're eating solid, and ingesting numerous fluid. Pleas safeguard your self and your toddler. ultimate of luck.
