Delilah, Good question.
I happen to be in that position now.
I'm not scared of dying, because I know what's it's like on the "other side", having experienced my soul leaving my body one time. Beautiful, not a care, euphoric, and as I looked down at my body, it was just an empty shell, like a box container or something.
Most are afraid of the unknown in general, but try to keep a stiff upper lip, and not show fear. When it becomes real and docs are trying to save you, it's just a little different than sitting in your home office, typing words that you may believe at the time, but may be very different when you are really takin' the trip.
Personally, I would definitely want someone with me. I'm a people person, though. If there is no one around, I'll just strap myself in and take the ride. I can't help but think standing in the waiting line for THAT ride would be nicer with a friend, OR even a stranger. Strangers that you don't know often have great insight because they aren't saying what they think you want to hear. They don't know you! heh..heh..

Why do you ask this question? I would certainly discuss this more if you want to, it IS a one time event, ya' know....

Im not afraid of dying alone, as I see it life is too short to worry about what will happen in end the more you plan your future the more you get hurt if your plans dont fall through so just live you life as long and full as you can.

Nope. I'm really not afraid of dying, it's the process of dying that scares me. But overall, not afraid of dying alone.

I am afraid of dying in a crowd, especially while public speaking that would be so embarassing...with my luck my pants would fall down and then while trying to pull them up I would trip over my boobs and bang my head on the stage and die. That is the true sh*t...that is how I am afraid of dying...no joke... this keeps me up at night sometimes.

I'm afraid of dying, period. If I was dying, though, I probably wouldn't care whether I was alone or not. Dying is dying.

Yes, I am afraid of dying alone. When I go I hope to be with family and that I don't suffer...I would rather go in my sleep.

I want to die alone. Perferably out in the middle of the woods. I would really hate for someone to have to watch me die, I've seen it, one time this guy I knew crapped himself after twitching. Pretty sick. Now if I was in the nursing home, I'd want to be alone still, so that way I won't be sidetracked with everyone crying and that way I could die peacefully.
Well anyways... I don't really care. Just as long as it was quick.

I think I am more afraid for the people that I would leave behind. My daughter is young and I am a single parent, so I would be scared for her. But I know that when the time comes, we all take the journey alone. And I know that better things wait for me when I am with my Savior. So, I am not scared to go when He decides that its time to go.

No.I think most people prefer it this way.I do have my mom & bro in other states. I am fotunate to have many people that truly love me &/or care about me.I would rather not put them thru such an ordeal. My husband is deceased, yet I talk to him every day.So actually I guess I don;t really feel alone.Maybe it's all in your outlook of "dying alone" means to you.And in my beliefs,God is always with me! I hope all is well.
