Just because something is refurbished doesn't mean that it's a used item. If an item contains a defective part, the manufacturer recalls all the same items that have the same model #. Then those parts are replaced, defective or not. They'll engrave on the back that the item has been refurbished, so the consumer knows that item contains a replacement part.

I personally rather buy a new Ipod then a refurbished 1 cause think about it . The owner that had it b4 u had problems with it . Sometimes yes they can fix it but other times it will keep on having the problem . But 100 dollars less 4 an ipod video sounds like a good buy . Its up to you

I wouldnt trust it. chances are if something is refurbished it will break down again. i know its a little more but a new one is worth it. this dec i will have had mine for a year and ive never had a problem with it, but i have know people who have gotten things refurbished and i have never heard of there being a good story to go with it.
