It could mean high in the sense of a drug induced high, or it could mean flying high in the sense or succeeding or accomplishing something or being happy

my interpretation is that flying high is doing very well, or being very successful. It sounds like the songs is talking about those friends who become your best friends when you win the lottery, but normally they would only be acquaintances.

it's about someone being addicted to drugs and ruining his/ her life. flyin high is being high on drugs or very successful
