Yes I went to the Virginia state fair as a boy. So much fun...we saw a circus.
A few years before we went to the Ohio State Fair...lots of fun vendors and I remember the Howdy Doody Show was there.

I'll even tell you a story.
Years ago me and my buddies went to the New Mexico State Fair. I'd been there many times over the years but this was going to be the year Ray Charles played at the rodeo!
I'd never been to a rodeo before but I was a Ray fan, so I was pretty excited.
The rodeo was a trip! Tackling cows, roping calves, kids and girls got to show off too.
After the rodeo, they rolled out a huge circular stage that could rotate since the rodeo was an arena.
Finally, Ray started to play and it was great! But the crowd was all rowdy and kept shouting "yeeeeehaw!" and "whoooopee!".
Ray stops the show!
....and says, "If you don't stop shouting yeehaw, I'm going to leave this stage!". It was so great, all the shocked cowboys and I just had to laugh and applaud!

I went to the state fair last year. It's a lot bigger than a county fair because all of the winners from your county fairs enter their things into the state fair. There's a lot to see and do!! I really found it enjoyable.

Yes, I just went to the CA state fair a week ago, not much to see and getting way too expensive. Next year I'll just take the kids to Marine World.

No, just the county fair. Don't know about the State Fair in PA.

I went to the Colorado State Fair last Tuesday. It was great. I should have spent the whole day, not just a few hours.

we used to love going to the fair, food smelled so good, rides were fun, liked looking at the livestock and other exhibits, i liked to find a seat and just watch people while i ate a candied apple
but our fairgrounds are in a very dangerous part of town (alabama) and it's just too scary to go there now
