Depending on where you are it is possible that any rental of less than 30 days comes under motel / hotel regulations. Check you local ordinances.

A weekly renter has a tenancy agreement with a landlord (a lease) whether written or verbal. If you are looking to evict or terminate the tenancy, it would be best to ask the tenant to leave on a specific date. Check the law for your state. In New Jersey (where I am) there is a Tenat's/Landlords rights publication that explains these issues.

Weekly renters DO NOT have tennant rights.
You can evict them in one day, no notice, no problem.
