I would have to say as a member of Bush's administration she fit right in .
Shoe shopping and vacationing is the place for our leaders to be at a moment of crisis .
WE have seen them in action during some of our nations most trying times and i believe they have failed to act in a manner appropriate with what a good leader is expected to do .
That is to immediately respond to any crisis and work until it is resolved .
YOU do not go shoe shopping while while an entire city is in crisis and under water .
I expect that everyone i surround myself with to get the job done and in an emergency to run not walk until it is resolved .
I can see no leadership or in fact any skills that would lead me or for that manner anyone acquainted with solving problems and leading people , apparent ,to run for president .
If you only expect the level of leadership you have had in the past then by all means go right ahead and vote Ms. rice into office .
However i must warn that if you expect any thing more then a side line cheerleader who will not roll up there sleeves and get there hands messy then you should reconsider and look for someone else who can actually do the job .
SHE has a wonder full background and outstanding education ,an impressive list of degree's , and if i wanted some advice would consider hers to be among the best available .
THIS does not make her a leader but a member of a good support team that all great leaders must have .GEORGE i am sure dismissed most of her advice and used her more as a show piece in his administration .To bad for him that he did not listen and respect her achievements .
THIS does not make her a leader or able to lead .
A maverick is a good leader ,some one who has taken some risk's and had successes ,someone not afraid to speak his mind and lead by being in the middle of it all .
THIS is what we need to lead America .SOME one to roll up the sleeves and get involved in shaping the future .
We need someone with some street credentials who never accepted no as the answer .Someone who has never said you can't do that .Because can't never could . THAT attitude is UN-acceptable and so was shoe shopping and continuing on like nothing was wrong in America .
So this is why i can not accept this fine woman as a viable presidential candidate. To bad she did not head down to south they mention she was born in and do what she could .Colorado and Indiana where she spent time educating herself is so far removed from her home town i am surprised they still bring it up .Raised in the south must be a vote getting thing republicans and democrats do when they have high profile minority's in the administrations .
THE worst kind of name dropping i have seen in years .BUT i never did expected much from bush and he has not let me down or made me out to be liar yet .
I said and still do the man is worthless and should never have been elected to any position at all .
Amazing what money can buy .
OH I am not happy with the democrats but your question did not ask about that .
I hope you can find someone to support and believe in who will meet this nations needs in the trying times we will all face ahead.

She is perhaps the smartest person in Washington... probably too smart to accept the nomination as President because she knows as an outsider (not a career politician) her foray into politics would have a shorter shelf life than shelled muscles.
Watch her to to be a VP contender. She's smart enough to win over moderates, more conservative than GWB, and there are a whole bunch of people who would vote for her being either black or a woman.
My short answer: I'd vote for her.

Yes, I would vote for Condolezza Rice if she was the Repubican Nominee for President of the United States of America because she understand Foreign Policy, Team Work, Hard Work and Success, and is a good candidate to continue the legacy of President George W. Bush.

I would, because she is a smart person, and has good ideals. Also because Hilliary Clinton would most likely run against her.
And for the record, she has stated that she won't run in 2008, making a VP nominee more likely. However, Guiliani has stated he would run, as well as Mitt Romney (Gov. of Mass.)

I would. I think she would make a wonderful President... I have quite a few reasons which have all been mentioned. Mostly because it would drive the little "puppet"-crazed democrats crazy!! =P
Mr. Knowledgeable VI gets my vote for best answer!

Isn't it funny the all the liberals repeat the same thing..she is a puppet...I think its some jealousy of her intelligence and power.
She would make a wonderful president and I would run to vote for her.

I sure as hell wouldn't. It would be like having a female George Bush in office and 8 years of that fool is enough. And she's even uglier than he is!

You could do worse, and we have. I think she'd be nominally okay. I liked her better when she was a hawk, but there's something about the state dept. that turns people into altruists.
