Like Labor day or Martin Luther King jr day. Why hasn`t the goverment thought about this!!

Like the policemen and firemen that gave there lives to help save other people!!!!

I most definitely agree with you!! When that happened on 9/11, it affected everyone here in the U.S.. We should take off and honor those people that gave their lives

Oh wait, nobody celebrates that...

Yes 9-11 was bad, but it doesn't deserve its own holiday. Then people will just see it as "Oh cool it's the day I get off from school and get wasted" which defeats the entire point of the thing in the first place.

No, it shouldn't happen. 9/11 has not had the lasting effect most people thought it would have, IMO. It should be a normal day for everyone except those directly affected.

No. These people didn't "give" thier lives. Their lives were TAKEN. I think it would be better to have a memorial built rather than having it made a national holiday.

no but i believe that a national memorial should be built in thier honor in the same vien as any other war memorial as it is they were our first recognized casualties in the war on terror which is the aspect of our real military losing lives daily in another countrys civl war as we speak
