Why is Jose Reyes not playing today? He had a very bad day yesterday, is that why? Please tell me he's not injured!!!!!

No that was ages ago. He was playing in every game since then until today. He was o for 5 yesterday so maybe he had a secret injury!

its just simply a day off. with the mets having such a large lead in the division, most players are going to get a bit of rest down the stretch that they might not get to take advantage of if in a close pennant race.
in fact, on reyes' last day off, on a previous road trip in chicago, he literally drove manager willie randolph crazy in the dugout. reyes is such a bundle of energy that he just didnt know what to do with himself not playing in the game.
willie gave strict instructions to jose to keep away from him tonite......LOL

Jose Reyes jammed a finger stealing a base in the fifth inning of Friday's game, but he was able to remain in against the Phillies.
Reyes probably won't miss a game with the injury, but if he does get a day off this weekend, this will be the reason.

I think with such an insurmountable lead in the NL east, Willie simply decided to rest him as he does occasionally with some players.
I hope that's all it is anyway....
