Old is all in the mind - my mum is 85 and often mistaken for my sister (I'm nearing retirement age) because she refuses to be old. She's a snappy dresser, doesn't overdo her makeup, has her hair dyed discreetly, holidays abroad at least twice a year, walks and swims regularly, refused to use a walking stick when she had sciatica recently (wouldn't be seen dead with one!) has a wicked sense of humour and broad outlook on life and even likes to flirt a little...I'm imitating most of what she does cos I want to be like that at 85! On the other hand I know people younger than me who started to age at 45 because they thought they should - sad.

When you wake up at 6 am instead of going to bed at 6 am. When all ur buddies around u are getting married and divorced instead of hooking up and breaking up. Thats how u know ur old.

When you cannot stand the cr*p music your kids are listening to.
When you buy slip on shoes because you cannot bend down that far to tie the laces.
When you suggest an early night to the wife, and forget why.
When you look into the mirror and see your dad/mam looking back.
When it takes you all night to do what you used to do al night.
God I feel old.....................lol

when you turn on the radio and all of the songs annoy you, you you see people wearing skimpy clothes and wish they would cover up.
When the idea of staying up till midnight gives you a panic attack because you have to get up for work in 6 hours
when you have to ask this type of question then you know your getting old

When you need glasses to see, a hearing aid to hear, a zimmer frame to walk and a nappy to stop incontinence!!!
Only when your body begins to pack up are you truly old!

you have a specail feeling. You start to feel that everyone around you is either much younger or older than you. I guess everyone's old in their own way, but theres no actual age..that you can know when ur old, u just feel it

Hey, I have a friend who is STILL on a bowling league and does quite better than most and she's 95 years young! YOUNG!
