I love jazz questions! Heres a few:
John Coltrane (So experimental in a good way)
Charlie Parker (His solos just flow)
Paul Desmond (His sax notes float and hover in the air)
Miles Davis (He was at the forefront of every jazz genre - bebop, cool, fusion)
Django Reinhart (Best guitarist ever)
Larry Carlton (He can play any style - rock, blues, fusion, bop, smooth)
Jaco Pastorius (best and most innovative bass player ever)
Chick Corea, John McLaughlin, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Stanley Clarke, Teddy Wilson

Stan Getz is cool, in fact all of the ones you mentioned I like. I also like John Coltrane, Dave Brubeck, Charlie Parker, Stanley Turentine, Billy Cobham, John McLaughlin, Jean Luc Ponty, Stephen Grapelli. John Faddis, John Schoefield, and so many more. I can't have just a few favorites. Too many Jazz monsters have lived.

I love Coltrane on tenor sax because he has so much intensity, passion, and intelligence in his playing. I'm not so into his later stuff, but My Favorite Things is one of my favorite jazz recordings of all time.
Miles Davis on trumpet, for sure. Especially Kind of Blue, and the whole Cookin', Walkin', etc. period. His solos are so melodic you can sing along to them.
On piano it has got to be Bill Evans. The kinds of harmonies and melodies he pulls off are just amazing. Playing transcriptions of his solos, you can just stop on every chord and go "ahhhh." Everybody digs Bill Evans. But also, Oscar Peterson just tears it up. Seriously, that man can just PLAY and I'm floored whenever I listen to him.
And of course how could I not mention Charlie Parker? Really, do I need to elaborate?
