umm.. i play just started playing the cornet and my 3rd key gets stuck whenever i press on it. also when its down and i blow no sound comes out- my air gets stuck and comes back in my mouth-PLEASE HELP IT IS NOT MY CORNET-I'M BORROWING FROM THE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, the valve might not be placed back in properly. Open it and see if it's in wrong. I would also give it a little shot of valve oil. DON'T USE ANY OTHER OIL! This is made special for musical instruments. If this doesn't work, take the slides off and make sure nothing is stuck in them. Mail me if this doesn't work or you need directions.

un screw the valve....take the valve out and clean it with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol......get all the black gunk off of it.....
then, rub some vaseline on it with your fingers....just a light coat should do it.....
put the valve back, screw it in...and press the valve up and down really fast without blowing into it for a few minutes.....
you should notice that it feels much better....
if this doesn't fix your problem....tell your music / band teacher....he'll have to fix it or take it to the shop

ok well you can just tell the school ok 1 the same kinda thingy happened to me ! they fix it its theres they have too!
