Your period should come back between 4-6 weeks after a miscarriage. And your period can be very light or heavy, it just will depend on you.
I've had 2 miscarriages, and after the first, my period was back right at 4 weeks. If took about 2-3 cycles for a normal cycle to develop, and by that I mean, I could usually tell when my period was going to start. After the second miscarriage I just spotted on and off for 6 weeks and then had a period.
As far as getting pregnant again, as soon as your period comes back your body is ready. The mind, however, is a different thing. You should try again when you are emotionally and mentally ready.

it is suppose to be after your next cycle and your are more fertile then to-but i would give your body time to heal
