I don't have a favorite poet. I don't like poetry, It makes no sense whatsoever. It is words. If I want to hear words, at least make a proper sentence with a meaning that is trying to communicate with me about something, or make it a story. poetry is compared to music as a gold bar is to dirt, that's my poem.

Ash Rothberry. Because there is no other poet that inspires me to go to Dennys at 3 am and pout over my coffee and my black painted fingernails.

Ogden Nash. His poems are funny and creative.

Example:

A one L lama , that's a priest
A two L lama, that's a beast
But I will bet my silk pajama
You'll never see a 3 L lama

Or his classic reflection on babyhood:

A bit of talcum
Is always walcome

Funny stuff!!!!

# 1 to me is God, but in human terms, Solomon in the Bible. Read Songs of Songs, or other wise known as Songs of Solomon. Unfortunately, some of its poetic beauty is lost in the translation from ancient Hebrew to English, but still is the one of my favorites. Non-Biblical would be Milton's " Paradise Lost." It is very lengthy, but awesome.

E.A.P for me! The raven is my favorite poem. I think he's my favorite because before him I could not read or watch or hear anything scary, but the way he writes is so engrossing that I don't mind being scared, it kind of exhilirating!

Edgar Allen Poe. His poems are so dark and dreary...yet awesome at the same time. Poetry about bunnies and flowers just don't turn me on...
