Yes, I do. I would imagine the job was offered to her and she turned it down because she likes what she's doing so well. Only time will tell whether Meredith is a good fit or not.

OH MY HEAVENS NO! They should send her back to the news desk. Her horrid interviewing skills (ah hem, if I can call them that) were so bad, there were complaints. She has problems reading simple text (notice how many times she screws up) and her giddiness is not at all entertaining.
Unlike Katie in every way, I can't imagine what Today would be like had Ann been offered that position. I know I would not be watching, and considering I am a daily Today devotee, that says a great deal.
I am not thrilled with Meredith Vierra either. But, she is definately much more professional than Curry by a long shot.

I love Ann Curry. She should have gotten the news job instead of Katie. More intelligent, less bubbly. She reminds me of a female Brian Williams. But, It will be fun to watch Katie to see if she can shake her old image.

Yes becuase Ann Curry is a better reporter, more well known and was already there. I think it was rude for her not to have been asked to be the new news anchor.

NBC was desperate and went with the established "bubbly" person who has done solid news in the past.
