There is no place where you can legally download songs for free that are from artists signed to major record labels (and most small ones, too).

BUT, there are some sites where independent, "undiscovered" musicians offer their music for free. Myspace is the biggest, and there's also soundclick.com and funender.com. There are more, but those are the only ones I know. The quality is very mixed because any schmo with Garage Band can record themselves and put it online, but if you spend some time you can find some good stuff. Some of the music on these sites requires you to pay for the download, too, but some is free.

i dont think there are any free music sites that are legal but u can still download any anything be using bearshare or limewire

go up under ur media window if u have it on ur computer and u can download music then u can burn it too.
