I think cars just pollute the Earth. Cars cause the most pollution. And they smell bad.

I do not hate cars. I am very sensible about having a vehicle that is environmentally friendly, and I do not drive, unless I have to go somewhere too far to walk. My friends and I carpool at lot, and this does help so that we are polluting less. I enjoy having a car and being able to go where I need to go when I want to. Almost everything we as humans do adds to the pollution of the Earth, and if we all are a bit more careful and recycle more; this is a big help. I am glad that you are a young person who is environmentally conscious, but you will change your mind about "hating" cars when it becomes your turn to get your drivers license and have a car. Yeah they might pollute the earth but they are coming out with new technology to reduce or eliminate it all together. I live 20 miles from town i am not fond of walking in the Cold or rain. I would much rather have my truck and I am sure my kids will agree they would rather ride also.

Agree. Not only do they pollute, they cost a lot of money. I have been tracking my finances for 10 years and I have spent 45,000 dollars on buying, fueling, washing, insurance, and maintenance on something that slowly decays.

Only when they break down otherwise its a heck of a lot easier than carry the kid and the groceries half way across town, not to mention to go downstate!
