Why do so many people race bait on here? Why can't this be an intelligent forum of discussion?

I can't be the only one appalled and disgusted by the amount of race baiting on this site. Why is it whenever someone disagrees with a person of a different ethnicity, people resort to racial epithets and slurs? Even if you disagree with someone your opinion is not justified by negatively bringing racial heritage into the mix. Am I right?

I totally agree. I think that a few people are bored and post questions to get us riled up, while others are just misguided. It is a free country and everyone has a right to an opinion, sometimes its better if you don't share it with the rest of the world.

You are right, and I agree whole heartedly with you.

To quote my grandfather,"the world is full of jack asses just waiting to behave in an asinine manner." I have often wondered just what the deal with people is.

My theory is this, there are people who come to this forum, who are very juvenile both figuratively and physically. These are the people who, most likely, have depleted their audience in what ever part of the world they are in, and have now resorted to the Internet to babble about their incoherent nonsense in an attempt to get attention. Usually, the greasy wheel gets the oil, if you know what I am trying to drive at here.

Here is what I think is the best way to combat this foolishness. Simply ignore it, and refuse to respond to it. When I see a question that is clearly designed to bait an individual or a group
of individuals in a particular race, I just keep on scrolling until I find a question that has merit, and is worth my effort in responding .

I totally agree with you. I've seen so many racist comments on this site, it's ridiculous. Especially the ones in the form of a question. I just shake my head at the ignorance and move on. It really is sad that in this day and age, some people are still bothered by something as small as skin color, or racial difference. It's just plain silly.

I agree. Instead of making the most of a site that was an alright place to spend time on and having a good time, people are raising issues of race, pornography,retardation, lack of reading and writing skills, etc. I'm not black but I still have had issues for no reason. I recognize the prejudices and find them to be disrespectul and sad. You're right with your observation 100%.......peace be with you........

I agree with you. There are quite a few questions that ask stuff like"why do blacks move into our neighborhoods" and "how can I keep my neighborhood all white b/c blacks are moving here" I will start to report those IGNORANT individuals!!
