I was scared. Get ready to be tired. Hopefully you have a friend or a relative staying with you for the first month to help cook and clean. Get ready to fall in love.

Let me start with I'm male-but also a parent. You are sharing in your body the mircle of mircles-you represent the the best that the Creator gave us-you are her Representive, you are the Madona. You should talk to your when ever you want-the babe knows you, listens to you,and gets excited to hear your voice.Since at present the babe can't express with sound,it's done with body language. You can learn what's up by learning body talk-then the fun starts, you both understand each other.
Don't forget your sex life -now is the time to have fun,you can't get preg. The sky is the limit as long as it dosen't phy. hurt you.Go wild because soon enough the times will change-not a bad thing-just different. You will need to spend all the free time you have now to focus on the babe,so do it now while you can.You can have as much as you want-as often as you want.Sex also induces deliverly-so if you want to knock one last time,it helps move things along.
One last-be very sure your sig. other understands your focus will change from the 2 of you to the 3,can be a tough juggle, but start now, remember, you're dealing with a child who right now gets his way-prepare him and the rest will take care of itself.
Best wishes.

I became a 1st time mommy this March. I thought it was the coolest thing knowing that I had a "wombmate"....her hiccups were the most noticeable thing and probably the most darling. (she still gets them often) ...she didn't move around too much but when she did I was reminded of the miracle developing inside of me....As excited as I was for this new adventure, I was equally terrified...We had tried for 4.5 years to have a baby with no luck and all the sudden much to our surprise she was conceived. I will tell you that all of my fears/discomfort/etc (and believe me I had PLENTY of both) diminished when I heard her 1st cry and saw her for the 1st time. Every day I am reminded how blessed and lucky I am to have this little angel in our lives. (and believe it or not, now that I'm not prego, part of me actually misses it...so cherish this time as well) Best of luck to you!!!

It was great for me when my daughter started squirming around and seeing the joy on my fiance's face as he put his hand on my stomach to feel her. Then, towards the end of my pregnancy, my fiance would tap on my tummy, and she would kick back in response.
I hated being pregnant, but that made up for everything. I only hated pregnancy because I felt too dizzy to do anything and I had to quit work when I was 10 weeks pregnant- plus I'd just started a new job a week before I found out I was pregnant so I didn't qualify for maternity pay...oh well. But I love my daughter to bits and everyday of illness was worth it!

The bigger you get the:
-more your sides hurt from sleeping on your sides
-more you have to pee (like every 30 min - 2 hours)
-more your pelvis hurts and has a lot of pressure (I found myself holding my belly a lot...thinking it'd help take some of the pressure off!)
-less you sleep from (pure exhaustion (weird, I know), excitement, & peeing!)
-less you can move--roll out of bed, bend over, etc.
Enjoy the shape and experience while you can, but I think ALL pregnant women are happy to get their bodies back!
