The Murano is an OK car.
I think it looks kind of like the Aztec ( voted ugliest vehicle in the U.S.)
Nissan is not rated very highly for dependability nor are they rated highly in initial quality.
They are a bit pricey & only get 20 mpg city & 25 mpg highway (2 wheel drive, 19 & 24 with AWD)
and they only seat 5.

For a nicer choice of vehicles in this price range, you can do MUCH better. Try looking at a Ford Hybrid Escape.
Much better mileage, also uses a CVT transmission (like Murano). Ford is rated, by J.D. Powers & Assoc., much higher for dependability, than Nissan. And you'll get federal & state tax breaks with the Hybrid.

You might even look at the FreeStyle while you're at Ford, if you are considering CrossOver Vehicles (Murano is considered a CrossOver)
Or you can wait for the Ford Edge. It is Fords newest CrossOver & should start hitting the grounds of U.S. dealerships in October.

Hope this helps.
