but whe i ask and give private messages with him he did not responded,then I confronted him about that!He said "why don't you come and visit me as we are few steps away from each other and talk to me instead of using internet?Why do you think he behaves like that? Is'nt it offensive?

Well it is kinda true.... why not just visit him? I can see his point... you are only a few steps away. He probably feels that the internet is so impersonal, and enjoys your company.

with DSL and cable many people leave their computers on all the time, it doesn't mean they are sitting in front of it.
He obviously would prefer to speak to you face to face, it is much more personal and some people are much more comfortable that way. Maybe he doesn't want to have to wonder if you are paying attention to him, You may be IMing several others at the same time and he finds that offensive and distracting. Perhaps he would like to do other things while you visit, ie shoot hoops, play cards, wash the dishes, watch a movie together.
He has invited you why are you being rude and not accepting his invitation?

Typing is a pain in the butt. I don't like responding to IM's at all either and especially if the person lives close enough to walk to the door and talk to me. Do you use a cell phone to call a person in the next room? Same difference.

Maybe he does not want his business on the internet you could be anyone so just go and visit him chat and have lunch/dinner. No it is not offensive.

If your living next door to me, don't Email or IM me. Just walk over there and Talk to him. Sounds to me like your being a little lazy if only a few steps away. Just WALK over there. I could understand IM him if he was 8-15 house down the road or on the next street, but your neighbors just WALK over there

Tell him to come over to you. Maybe he is the Lazy one for not walking over to you,
