I think I probably need someone else to help bleed right.

Yes, you can do it yourself. There are one person kits you can get at most auto parts stores if you don't have anyone around to help.

I bled the brakes on my '69 Camaro, front and rear, after replacing the lines with no problem. It didn't take any special skill.

The kit will come with a small bottle that has a magnet for mounting on a spring or something metal near the caliper along with a few short lines and a piece that fits in the bleeder screw.

Yes you can do it yourself....it's not difficult.

Fill the master cyl and leave the cover off. Now open the bleeder screw at all 4 wheels. Let gravity work for you and wait for fluid to leak at each wheel. Just keep an eye on the fluid level in the master cyl and keep it full. With fluid leaking at each bleeder...could take about 5-10 mins...close each bleeder. Then top off the master cyl again and put the cover back on.

Now get a length of hose and slip it on one of the bleeder screws. Stick the other end in a fresh bottle of brake fluid, that's about 2/3 full. Open the bleeder screw and SLOWLY push the brake pedal to the floor and release. Do this 6 times and then close the bleeder screw. Repeat the above for the other 3 wheels and your done.

However...if you car is equipped with ABS, there are additional steps required. You need to cycle the ABS pump and valves to purge them of any air. A bi-directional scan tool is usually required.

Yes it is possible but you will have to buy one way speed bleeders or a vaccuum bleeder that runs off a air compressor your best bet would be speed bleeders they are a one way check valve that lets fluid out when you press the pedal but wont let air to be sucked back in I believe they also sell another type of vaccuum kit for 1 person brake bleeding check with your local auto parts store

You can do it yourself with a "one-man brake bleeder", although it's easier with two men, and easier still with three.

If you decide to do it single-handed, you will have to pump the brakes a few times, then go to the wheel to check on the fluid (and empty the little bottle as it fills up), and then to the brake fluid reservoir under the hood, to make sure the level does not fall so low as to allow air into the brake lines!

You can do it, but it's so much easier with a friend or two.

it can be done alone. Just crack your bleeder screw open and run a peice of rubber hose that fits tight around the bleeder down into a bottle of brake fluid making sure the end is submerged then pump the brake peddle slowly until the air is out of the system. repeat for the other wheels as needed

Yes, you need help, because one person must pump the brake pedal whilst the other operates the bleed nipple.

In the dark and dim recesses of my memory, I recall seeing an ad for a device which enabled it to be done single-handed (I assume it was a simple one-way valve), but that must have been many years ago.

I'm sure you will have a willing friend.....

THIS IS A CHEAP WAY OF DOING IT GET A EMPTY BRAKE BOTTLE A RUBBER HOSE LOOSEN ALL BLEEDER AND ATACH THE HOSE TO EACH BLEEDER SCREWS MIGHT HAVE TO HEAT THEM UP BUT PUT A SOCKET ON IT AND TAP IT WITH A HAMMER LIGHTLY UNTIL IT COMES LOOSE AND THEN START WITH THE WHEEL THAT IS THE FEREST FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER RIGHT REAR THEN THEN LT REAR THEN RT FRONT THEN LT FRONT AND FROM TIME TO TIME CHECK THE MASTER CYL FOR FLUID AND KEEP IT FULL. AFTER ITS COMPLEATED CHECK BRAKES AND SEE IF YOU HAVE A GOOD PEDEL IF SO YOUR DONE AND MAKE SURE BRAE LIGHT IS OFF IT NOT OFF WAIT FOR 15 MINS AND RECHECK BRAKE LIGHT TO SE IF IT WENE OUT FORDS TAKE SOMETIMES A SHORT TIME TO GO OUT AFTER BLEEDING.....GOOD LUCK.....

nicely, in case you insert *something* penis sized in there (like a dildo or vibrator) that ought to do the trick. there is not something on the subject of the particularly penis that's magic or something. i could desire that once you hit upon somebody to have intercourse with, he'd be somebody you sense comfortable adequate to assert "i'm a virgin". via fact first time intercourse with a clean better half is awkward for even an experienced female, and that's VERY awkward while you're with a guy who would not be responsive to that he needs to take it sluggish and be comfortable.

Yup, that's a 2-person job. One to bleed, one to pump. Sounds appetizing, no?
