Jesus loves the little children is a song many of us grew up with, unfortunatley the priest hood has taken it to heart and a little to literal and most if not all have become pedafiles and are sanctioned by the catholic church and the goverment as well... What do you think should be done to protect the young and innocent from gropping priest who in the name of God molest our children.

First of all, I don't think they molest children in the name of God, so lets leave God out of it. He would never want that. We should just be careful who our children are around. It's sad to say, but priests are only a fraction of the pedafiles out there. The people you trust the most could be pedafiles. Think about it. Most children who are molested, are molested by people they know. lol

All the priest who do this should be charged, prosecuted and serve the same sentences that a non priest would serve. It's ridiculous and sinful for a church to protect people who go against God's precepts and principles and allow them to remain in a leadership position. I started to say if I belonged to a denomination where this seems to be such a problem I would never leave my child alone with anyone at the church, but then I realized that for me personally, I couldn't stay in a church like that. I'd have to leave and find another one. I could never submit to the authority or leadership of someone who I knew was so blantantly flaunting Gods ways.

The best thing would be to never attend a Catholic church. How many children have to be raped before people turn away from this well established but confoundingly backward church? Want to do something good for your kids? Take them to a church that has its basis in scripture and doesn't put a human (pope, cardinal, priest, etc) on a pedestal with more authority than God's Word.

I think far too many parents don't educate their children about abuse by adults and what to look out for. We, as parents, need to make sure our children know that it's perfectly fine for them to question those in authority, particularly priests. Parents need to educate their children on spotting the con games some priests (and other pedophiles) will try to run on them, and to make sure they know to voice their concerns to their parents, or another trusted adult.
What bothers me, particularly with the issue of molesting priests, is the church seems to, in some cases, know a particular priest has a problem with pedophilia, yet does nothing to protect the children these priests could cause harm to.
I wish I knew how to stop the problem. Some have suggested allowing priests to marry might help things. But, alot of pedophiles are married. All I know is, if anyone ever hurts my child in that way, God help him.

There's a lot that could be done but alot of people put their faith and trust into their priests, so they believe them until pr oven guilty and some still don't believe that it's true when they are found guilty. So honestly that's a tuff one, who can always have them monitored when in session with a child but a lot won't go for it because of the religion and their own practices. It's really unfortunate that this goes on exspecially if you devote yourself to god or whatever and to betray their own practice. If there is anything that could be done I would like to know?

I wish I knew how to answer that because a priest or a pastor should be one of those 'safe' people we teach our children about. I think, for one thing, that before someone is allowed to lead a church, they should be followed, for at least a year. People they know should be talked to, people at businesses they visit, on and on. I know that in some sects they follow around people for a year on the sly who want to be missionaries or pastors. I think that is the best idea - see who they are and what they do when they think no one is looking.

The catholic ways are corrupt. I would stay away from the catholic church. First of all read the word, get some discernment, pray for God to protect your children. stay away from the man in the booth!

Perhaps if the church would screen their Priests better it would help. Maybe letting Priest get married would do it.I wish I really knew the answer to this one. The one thing I do know ,for sure, all will have to answer to God.

wow, I thought that song was "Michael love the little children" oops sorry M.J.... I think we should publicly execute the ones who do harm to the innocent children of the world.... Damn priests.. I know this goes against religion but it'd show them that they will be punished in this life and the next...
