A pinched nerve remains as such until the hardened muscle resting against it is migrated away to the group it belongs. A pinched nerve becomes a short-circuit to other nerve receivers depending on where it is.

Is your neck position in a relaxed state tilted to one side, forward or towards the back? This indicates that larger muscle group migration or hardening has developed. Read up on some muscle books with diagrams that detail muscle and bone configuration.

The very first stage to improve these conditions is awareness of current limitations to lower further aggravation creating spasm or swelling. Picture in your mind that your spine is in a straight line from the back of youir head to the small of your back. Everything you do from bending and lifting, etc must not be permitted to alter this straight line. You probably remember being told to sit straight up for posture. Military training requires a straight at attention stance for a specific period prior to activity. This is initializing your nerve impulse center command.

Standing up straight against the wall until all gaps where the neck and back do not touch the wall helps readjust the spine. Go slowly at pressing those points, hold and release each day until success occurs. Once you reach this point practise moving your head from side to side until tension points ease.

sex helps and marijuana I know it's not for everyone but when you've been in 2 car accidents that gave/give you an injured back for life, it works really well! otherwise your mattress might be to soft, and if you sleep on your back try your side because then your neck lays even with your back instead of lifted up which would effect your back being sore. try eating more calcium as well, and you might want to consult your doctor there could be something seriously wrong that you think is just regular back pain. don't wanna scare you but my mom thought she pulled a muscle in her butt (lol) turned out to be bladder cancer. luckily she's fine but still, you never know, if it's been going on for a long time see your doctor.

The only thing that really works is drugs. But you can take hot showers and hot tub. Really try to sit up strait... your back can help take some of the tension off your neck. And stay off the computer and avoid several pillows---keep your head still as much as possible!!!! no j-off
