how to relese the pump of the handwash i bought

You need to "prime the pump," by this I mean pump it full of air.
This should start it pumping fluid.

Unscrew the lid or hold the lid and twist the pump until it pops up.

twist it counterclockwise

push down and turn............usually counterclockwise
