We have lots of spiders in the lower area of our house this year. I am knocking down the webs, but they come right back.

Oh, the impossible dream! I have the same problem every year in my unfinished basement. A vacuum cleaner and constant vigilence is all that I have found that REALLY works. Sorry

Buy an indoor fogger spray, available from most supermarts, follow the instructions on the can, especially the parts about covering food and extinguishing all pilot lights. They require that all people and pets be off premises for a few hours. When you return, ventilate and clean up your dead bugs. Use caution with all pesticides.

Wal Mart sells a spray called Spider Killer that works really good. You just spray a little bit on them and it kills them within seconds. You can also spray it on window screen, etc. to keep them from coming inside. We had a problem with spiders this year and I had luck with this spray.

The best way is to use a fly swatter, or use maybe bug poison. but, whatever you do, don't use hairspray and a blowdryer.

exterminator, if you cannot afford that they will keep coming back. raid just feeds them.
