I just don't get it. I'm sorry. Like are you not allowed to wear white on Labor Day or after Labor Day or somthing like that. And if you do, what happens?

It use to be that Labor Day was the end of summer. Years ago the wearing of white, outside of wearing white shirts or blouses, just was not done until after Easter marking the beginning of warm weather. White pants, skirts, jackets or dresses were a strict NO NO. With the exception of doctors and nurses.

I'm not sure why, but somehow it came to be that your not supposed to wear white after Labor Day. Not sure why, but I kinda follow it. Nothing really happens, it's just a rule in fashion.

I don't think that rule really applies anymore.
It has something to do with seasons changing.
Summer and Spring, light colors. Fall and Winter, darker tones.

Nothing really happens, but people whisper stuff like, "OMG . . . she's totally like wearing WHITE! WTF? Is she is nurse?".
So, in order to spare yourself these potentially uncomfortable scenerios, you should go with winter white/Ivory. It's prettier than white anyway. Much softer than stark white.
