I worked as a Sr. Assistant Store Manager... the state that I live in the age is 14. You can only work about 18 hours a week. Most places wont hire you unless you are 15-16 You Should try fast food rest. They do like to give young people a chance. Some schools will have summer job programs. You can always do odd jobs for the neighbors. Good Luck!!

Well anyone can work no matter what age.
Age 8-10 Have lemonaid stand or toy sales in front of house
11-15 bike route or walking route for newspapers. Delivering in your own neighborhood. Do not accept any that make you collect your route or give you a problem when someone does not pay their account.
16-18 Work in a store, pizza place, buger joint. Something to get a little extra money
Most girls babysit during school years because there is always time to study. Just make sure you are certified and have taken an approved CPR course for adults and infants, your local city hall should be able to tell you when and where for these classes. Some people who are smart tutior those who can not grasp things as quickly.

Each state is different, however, I think the Federal labor laws state that you have to be at least 15 and if you're still in school you may have to have a work permit. Most places hire people who are of age to drive and you can not work anywhere that sells open containers of alcohol until you're 18 or 21 (also depends on state laws). Check with your state or local labor division for laws in your state.
