I need a lot for cheap, possibly shipped to me in the chicago area, blank signs, preferrably with the stakes for the ground

You can purchase blank signs at your local sign shop. By the time you pay for shipping it will probably be about the same price! They sell a plastic material that looks sort of like cardboard, but it is plastic and you can buy it by the foot or yard, or something. I would make a couple of phone calls befor you mail order it shipping is killer!

I think it's Amerisigns....are you looking for 'ugly yellow signs'? I bought 100 each for 2 different projects, with stakes I paid about $100 (or $1.00 per sign including stake) I could be wrong about the name but I can look it up on Wednesday if you don't get a better answer by then.
