I saw this question I don't know where but I want to know who rocks heavier between Pantera and Slayer. Yes I heard harder & heavier stuff from other bands but I say these two are the loudest and heaviest bands. I love both of these bands.

Im a metal head since 15 .i have listened to slayer but just never to in to the speed . i was just reading modern drummer with dave lombardo on the cover .. so much talent in both bands but i listen to pantera more .. .Both bands rock .. If were gonna talk 666 and music .. kind diamond mercyful fate .. no speed there .. rock on guys always ..

Wow, great question. Here's their stuff
Slayer always plays heavy all the time, but most of their stuff sounds the same which I don't mean it in a bad way.
Pantera plays very loud, but also played soft, but they have more talents especially with Dime.
I'll say Pantera, just by a little bit. Sorry Slayer. Though both groups are very strong and violent by their sound and music.

I'll say "Slayer". At every concert I've ever been to, there's always some drunk guy yelling "SLAYER!!!". No one ever yells Pantera.

Heavier in terms of lyrical content...Slayer hands down....Heavier in terms of noise made from destroying instruments....Slayer yet again.

At the moment I'm fully clothed. And I'm definitely going with Pantera. Kerry King wasn't worthy to carry Dimebag's dirty shorts.
