Anyone who orders stuff from another place and then gets mad when you don't have it. For example ordering a Big Mac at Burger King. People who ask for prices when the menu is right in front of them. People who try to pay with food stamps. That is all I can think of right now but I am leaving for work so I am sure I'll think of more then.

Here's one for you:
When I used to work at a Subway some years ago:
1) I would always have to keep an eye on the stamp machine (you know, those stamps they used to give out when someone bought a sandwich so he/she can get a free sandwich when enough was collected) so people won't reach over the counter and steal stamps.
2) When the stamp program was modified in the mid-90s, you only needed 8 stamps for a free 6" sandwich instead of 12, BUT you also had to buy a medium soda to redeem the stamps. Did people appreciate the fact that they didn't need to buy 2-4 extra sandwiches to get a free one? No way! Some started griping because they now had to buy a soda!!! Gee, spending 1.50 more versus spending 10-14 bucks more to redeem for a free sandwich. What's the better deal?!? I'm actually glad Subway discontinued the stamp program. It should be about the product rather than the free food, anyway.
3) After the sandwiches are made and checkout is ready, they ask "Do you have a pen?" as they whip out the checkbook. "Sorry, ma'am, no checks" I reply. "Well, you've taken them before!!! Now how much is it? I'm writing this check!!" she demands. "Not on my watch, ma'am" I retort. "Well, you can keep your sandwiches! I'm leaving!" and storms out.
4) One time, this high school kid comes in, has a Taco Bell cup in hand and helps himself to soda from the machine. I say nothing at first. He comes up to order his sandwich. I make it, still saying nothing. Then I ring up his sandwich AND a medium soda, which I guesstimated was the size of his Taco Bell cup. He sees his total and starts wondering why. I reply "Yes, for the sandwich AND that soda you helped yourself to when you walked in." He heads to pour it out, but I tell him you drank most of it in line anyway. No way he's getting out of this one. Then he starts demanding a Subway cup, which I agreed to. I didn't want this to escalate into something bigger with him making a scene PLUS I felt I made my point. I'm such a Nazi, sometimes!
The public is indeed an ugly beast!!!

This complaint is the oldest in the world! Anyone in the history of mankind who has had to work for someone else complains about something. Either the boss is a jerk or the customers are horrible.
People are mistreated in every single job. The higher up you go on the job ladder the more subtle and complex the slights, insults and backstabbing get.
Anyone in a service industry has to have patience, diplomacy and fortitude to deal with the imbeciles they come in contact with.
After a lifetime of working and having to deal with stupid people on a daily basis (and I worked in Education, can you believe that?! it's true! the stupidest people i've ever met are in the education field) I've come to this conclusion:
PEOPLE ARE BASTARD-COATED BASTARDS, WITH BASTARD FILLING :~)

My biggest thing was the total lack of respect or patience for anyone else.
