Genetics plays a large part in just how large your biceps will get... that is, as long as you want to do it the natural and healthy way. (Please read as "Don't do steroids.") Give it some time... but as this task gets easier, how about going for a 30 lb dumbbell? A personal trainer once told me that to build up those muscles, you need a bit more weight. If you can work yourself up to even 50 lb dumbbells (no cheating, now... get your good form and your back out of it), you'll see results in a matter of weeks. I'd say measure your biceps once a month... that will give you a good idea as to how you're progressing. While you're at it, measure your triceps as well... they get a workout, too.

This is the wrong way to build muscle,Not saying it wouldn't but body builders do sets and reps.
You should get a weight where you can do only 10-12 reps(times)
and do these in 3 sets.Do different arm exercises as well, and do this about 1 or 2 times a week. But the way your doing it you could probably see results in a month or 2.
